Meet the Parents

Sahara - a Toy Poodle

Toy Poodles are known for their intelligence, gentle nature, and strong connection to people. Highly trainable and emotionally intuitive, they thrive in close companionship with their family and are often described as being deeply in tune with their owners. Their soft, low-shedding coat and calm, affectionate temperament make them a wonderful addition to a home seeking both companionship and ease of care.

Popcorn - a Toy Pomeranian

Pomeranians are affectionate, spirited companions with a warm and engaging personality. Despite their small size, they are confident, alert, and full of character, forming strong bonds with their families. Known for their expressive faces and lively nature, they bring both joy and presence into the home, while still being deeply loyal and devoted to those they love.

What does a pomapoo look like?

As you can gather from the name, a Toy Poodle crossed with a Toy Pomeranian results in a cute little "Pompapoo" (Pomeranian x Poodle)

Example of what a Pomapoo looks like is pictured here

Please note that the litter is still to arrive, so this is not a picture of the actual puppies.

We will be sure to post pics of the puppies when they arrive

What to expect with a Pomapoo

Crossing a Toy Poodle with a Toy Pom brings out the best in the pups

Intelligent

Intelligent dogs given the poodle influence. Naturally bright and highly responsive, they learn quickly and adapt with ease. Their intelligence makes them not only easy to train, but a joy to engage with as part of everyday life.

Affectionate

Naturally drawn to people, they form deep bonds and thrive on close companionship. Their gentle, loving nature makes them happiest when they are by your side, sharing in everyday moments.

A True Companion

More than just a pet, they are devoted to being by your side. Forming strong, lasting bonds, they thrive on connection and become a constant, reassuring presence in the rhythm of daily life. The definition of companion

Low Shedding

With the poodle mixed in the shedding is reduced. Please note they will shed somewhat

Small and Cuddly

A true little lap dog that will worm its way into your bed, your arm chair, your bathroom, your car.... your everything!

Energetic

A ball of fun in between sleeps. Playful and lively, they bring a gentle energy into the home without being overwhelming. They enjoy moments of activity and interaction, balanced with a calm and settled nature.

Progress updates

This is an image from the abdominal ultrasound scan that was done on Sahara at around 3.5 weeks after her last mating.

Note one of the gestational sacs. The tiny embryo is evident inside the dark ball (fluid filled sac). The tiny umbilical cord is evident as the little white line going across the sac and attaching to the embryo. This is the lifeline between mum and the baby and provides all the nutrients to the rapidly growing embryo.

The wavey like appearance at the bottom of the screen represents the rapid heartbeat of the tiny embryo.

So how many Puppies are there?

This Xray shows that mum is having 3 Puppies. Yay!

Whilst ultrasound scans can confirm if there is a pregnancy, it is not a reliable way of determining how many puppies there will be. Only an Xray can do that.

An Xray is good at picking up bone so one has to wait until the developing puppies skeleton starts mineralising (changing from cartilage to bone) before one can see the little ones on Xray.

The best way to count puppies is to look for the head and the associated spine - can you see them in the abdomen? One of the 3 is a little more tricky to see - I guess that puppy is a little bit X ray shy...

WHY CAN'T I JUST BUY THE PUPPY

These puppies are not sold on a first-come basis. Each one is carefully placed into a home that can provide the right environment, commitment, and care for a lifelong companion. Our priority is to ensure every puppy is matched with the family best suited to them.

HOW DO I KNOW THIS IS NOT A SCAM

We understand the importance of trust when welcoming a new puppy. There are lots of puppy and kitten scammers out there and you need to be 100% sure you are not being scammed. We are committed to transparency throughout the process, including clear communication, opportunities to meet the puppies via video call, and providing all relevant information to give you confidence and peace of mind. Never part with your money until you have spoken with the breeder and seen the mum and the puppies via a video call. Scammers will never want to video call, they will only want to voice call because in a video call they are exposing themselves and they do not have a mum and litter to show... because its a scam! Furthermore, we take your security seriously. All communication and payment details are provided directly through our official contact and verified contact channels. Before making any payment, we ask that you call us using the same number you video called us on. We will never change our phone number, our bank details or request payment through social media or third parties.

CAN I COME VISIT MY PUPPY BEFORE ITS READY TO LEAVE ITS MUM?

In the early weeks, puppies require a calm and controlled environment to support their development. We need to ensure that disease are not being introduced to the litter. Introductions are therefore typically done via video call, to ensure the puppies wellbeing is always the priority. You will receive regular photos and can arrange a video call at any time to see how your pup is progressing.

What type of food should I feed my new puppy

We will guide you on the feeding routine your puppy has been raised on, including recommended food and transition advice. This helps ensure a smooth and gentle adjustment of your puppy into their new home. Before you leave with your puppy we will always ensure that you are well informed and feel confident with your new arrival. You can of course always contact us to discuss anything about your new companion.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY PUPPY TO SETTLE INTO ITS NEW HOME

You should expect them to cry the first few nights. Every puppy adjusts at their own pace, but with consistency, patience, and a nurturing environment, most begin to settle within the first few days. Building routine and providing reassurance will help them feel safe and secure as they transition into their new family.

WHAT IS THE PUPPY PARENTING SHORT COURSE

It is a short online course that you can take at your own pace. It covers different modules with various reccomendations on how you can be the best pet parent you can be by providing the right care and environment for your new best bud!

WHAT IS THE TAILOVATION POMPAPOO PACK

Each litter member becomes part of the TailOvation Pomapoo Pack — a private community space to share the journey, from first days to lifelong companionship. You can share photos and progress with your fellow litter mates!
